Tilly is a trailing spouse whose workaholic
husband has just moved his family to a new city. Tilly can’t remember

flashy ex-pat compounds is really no different in Beijing than it was
in Dubai, London and Jakarta … until she meets Alice who inspires her
to take a risk and shows her how to grab Beijing with both hands.
